Elevating Brunswick Town Hall meeting: August 2026

If you live on the Upfield line in Brunswick, you’ve probably heard about the sky rail coming to Brunswick: 2.1km of elevated rail, three stations becoming two, with one new station planned just metres from apartment homes near Hope St.

Join us at the meeting to learn:

• what’s actually known about the project;
• what’s still unanswered;
• a community proposal for a better station location;
• what you can do to help make sure we get the best result possible;
• answers to questions you’ve got about the project;
• what candidates/parties in the upcoming state election have to say.

Who are we?

We’re Elevating Brunswick, a community group formed to be a shared voice for apartment dwellers along the corridor. We’ve been learning all we can about the project since it was announced.

We’ve been disappointed by the public “consultation” from the Level Crossing Removals Project (LXRP) so far, and have been tapping into expertise in our community to help understand the project and advocate for a better result for Brunswick. We aim to represent the unique views of apartment dwellers, as the Brunswick section will be the most densely populated skyrail construction site yet, and one of the most complex parts of the project.
